10/10/2010 Lion Dance Practice- Back in 2007, I wanted to create a Lion Dance Troupe for UCSD. I had over 10 years of experience from the CCLI and wanted to share my passion. With the help of two co-founders, we were able to put on our first show seen here. Now, I have passed on my vision to the next generation. We're still practicing in parking garages, but we've come a long way. With new lions, new members and a new name, Southern Sea is ready to succeed.

10/2/2010 Navy Air Show- The Blue Angels flight demonstration exhibits choreographed refinements of skills possessed by all naval aviators. Spectators will see the graceful aerobatic maneuvers of the four-jet Diamond Formation, in concert with the fast-paced, high-performance maneuvers of its two Solo pilots. Finally, the team performs maneuvers locked as a unit in the renowned, six-jet Delta Formation. Watch some video footage here.

9/24/2010 San Diego City College CTC Grand Opening- This Career Technology Center is a new five-story, 88,000 square feet instructional facility housing the expanded Nursing, Cosmetology and Photography and Digital Arts departments. The vertical solar panel array on the parking structure is the largest of its kind in the country, and will provide nearly 8% of the building's energy needs.

9/10/2010 Padres vs. Giants Game- Unfortunately, the Padres lost. However, I did manage to get some nice shots of the game from some awesome field level seats. Sports photography is definitely an exciting niche I'm learning more about. Fun Fact: This was actually my first San Diego baseball game ever. Before this day, I had only been to Met's baseball games in New York.

8/27/2010 East Village Block Party- The East Village Association is behind the idea of this fabulous block party right outside the gates of Petco Park on J Street between 7th and 9th Ave in Downtown San Diego. Free admission, awesome atmosphere, fun people, great weather. You can try 10 different food alternatives for only $10, dancing in the street, and wine tasting.

6/19/2010 High School Graduation- Graduation is always a momentous time for any student. As I completed my college education, she was just getting started. With my photographs, the family will always remember that unique year. From the unorthodox gownless ceremony to the usual family barbecue gathering at home, the festivities are captured forever.

6/1/2010 UCSD's Seismic Outreach Program- Sixth graders from various San Diego elementary schools join volunteers at UCSD for a half-day event to test their structures on a miniature shake-table, have their structures and documents judged by UCSD students, take a campus tour that includes a tour of our SRMD laboratory, and enjoy some recreational time with games.

4/19/09 UCSD Culture Show As the founder of the Lion Dance Troupe at UCSD, I have watched the group grow in size and in spirit. As we gain more members and more exposure, we are able to share our love for lion dancing with more people in the school and around the community. For more information, see our website here.
